Opus Imaging will be one of Northern Ireland's only Consultant-led private ultrasound clinics allowing patients direct access to scans performed by expert Consultants and Sonographers. As the clinic is led by Consultant Radiologists, whilst GP and specialist referrals will be welcomed, these will not be required. The aim of Opus is to provide expert-led diagnostic and obstetric services delivered in a local, comfortable setting providing patients with clarity, care and confidence.
General ultrasound
Abdominal ultrasound scans to check the major abdominal organs including the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and urinary bladder. Leg doppler ultrasounds to check for blood clots (DVTs), all performed by Consultant Radiologists and expert Sonographers
Women's Health
Transvaginal and abdominal pelvic ultrasounds by specialist Consultant Radiologists and Sonographers. The best initial test for assessing the female pelvis and every scan will fully assess the womb (uterus), lining of the womb (endometrium) as well as the ovaries for fibroids, cysts, endometrial thickening as well as coil position. The womb and pelvis will also be assessed for any evidence of adenomyosis or endometriosis
Men's Health
In addition to ultrasounds to check the prostate size and the appearance and function of the urinary bladder, scrotal and testicular ultrasounds can assess the testes and scrotum for concerns such as testicular pain and lumps as well as assessing the groins for hernias
Paediatrics
Encompassing newborn babies all the way up to teenagers, every type and variety of Paediatric ultrasound will be offered. Including ultrasounds specifically for babies including head, spine and hip ultrasounds as well as abdominal, renal, testes, pelvis as well as soft-tissue scans for lumps and bumps
Joint & Muscle
Expert MSK Radiologists will provide the full range of joint and muscle ultrasounds and can offer joint injections if clinically indicated at the same appointment. We also offer expert assessment of any soft-tissue lumps or bumps
Obstetric ultrasound
Our service is provided by specialist obstetric Sonographers who are all NHS trained and continue to work in the NHS obstetric service. We offer viability, dating and gender assessment scans up to 19 weeks as well as foetal reassurance scans up to term. Our aim is to offer you insight into the womb and reassurance when you need it
